So it looks like we are going to have a few hives that are producing a nice amount of honey. I have three hives each with 3 boxes of honey that I can take from each. If each box weights about 40 pounds I should finally break the 100 lbs mark that I was just under last year. It has been a rather odd and busy season overall for me. I have been trying to rebuild after a pretty big winter loss and so far am right back where I was with the number of hives.
Now it is time to harvest some honey, build up the bees for Winter and do some testing on some colonies related to combating the varrroa mites that is what hurt me last year.
